True Procrastinators

Ross at Play

I enjoyed this article in the NY Times about psychologists' research in procrastination at this link:
https://www.nytimes.com/2017/07/21/science/procrastination-research-conference.html?em_pos=large&emc=edit_sc_20170724&nl=science-times&nlid=74887997&ref=headline&te=1&_r=0

It seems they've concluded about 20% of people are 'true procrastinators'.
I'll get back to you later with my opinion on that one. :-)

No hurry ... I've got some other reading to finish first.

Are there anticrastinators? (pro vs. anti)

Nah, only amcratinators.
When true procrastinators arrive in Hell they hear stories about global warming and suspect others have some other agenda for their scare tactics, they assume another ice age will naturally come along in due course, and say, "Let's wait a little longer - until some real evidence starts coming in."

As they say in Battlestar Galactica, "All this has happened before, and all this will happen again."

BTW, NOAA has published a graph of world temps for the last 800,000 years which shows a cyclical pattern of roughly 10,000 years of warming followed by 90,000 years of cooling, where we are now at a peak.

Would anticrastinators do things early or merely on time?

Anticrastinators would send troops into Iraq before verifying whether they had WMDs ;)

Hans Blix catalogued them in his report to the UN, but didn't think it was worth going to war over.

Anticrastinators miss an open goal because they take the shot before the ball reaches them.

Procrastinators miss an open goal because they take the shot after the ball has gone past them.

This site has a thumbs down button, but nothing for thumbs up!

I'll think about the report, and mention it at the Australian Procrastinators Association Meeting when I go to it. I've almost decided to accept their 1972 invitation to become a member.

From what my wife tells me, crusty nutters have no feminine appeal.
