Amazon's "page flip" means lowered page counts, I hear

I just read an indie author's blog post pointing out Amazon's new "page flip" bookmark feature can lower a page count to 0 if the reader reads the whole book that way. Is that right?

Also, Amazon is removing reviews provided in exchange for a free copy of the book that comes with a request for a review, distinguished from an advance copy provided to potential reviewers without an explicit request for a review.

I have been in several discussions with people on Amazon about the free book for a review. A lot of people think of it as an author 'buying' reviews specially if the reviews are done by people who are Amazon kindle unlimited members.
