I decided to have a look at modifying a story cover. It was mainly to add "Edited by...". Then I saw the variations on covers and thought "Fuck it, why not..."
But. And there is always a 'but'.
When I clicked on the cover, clicked on 'pick template' chose a new one, there didn't appear to be an 'accept' button and the cover stayed the same.
Could some kind soul tell this idiot how to change the covers and since you are at it, how do you change/add to the wording (if you can).

I don't use the templates so I'm probably of no help. I either use the SOL generated cover with no changes by me or upload a custom cover. If I want to change the custom cover, I simply go to manage stories and upload the revised cover.

That's what I was trying to do, but once I selected it, there was.... nothing... to accept the cover, or, well, anything other than the 'back' button.
It could be a site gremlin. Laz, I'm using Windows 10 home and Firefox 133.0.3 (64 bit) (if it helps any).

I just experimented with the templates.
When I clicked on one of the templates, it looked like nothing was done (no place to accept it). But when I went back to manage stories, the cover change was there. Clicking it means instantly accepting it.
I didn't see any place to modify the words on the cover. I guess you need to create a custom cover to have your own words.
Your right! I just went back to it now and the cover has changed! Maybe I just need to take things slower and not be in such a hurry. That and leaving the page.
Does anyone know how to change the orientation of the cover from portrait to landscape? Lots of authors have managed that, and to me it looks neater for stories going no further than SOL.

I've also just noticed (after playing around) that the cover will only show for me, if I clear the 'Temporary cached files and pages' tab in the clear browsing data and cookies tab of Firefox. That includes swapping from one cover to another, the temporary cache needs to be cleared before the correct cover is shown.
Sadly I can't help either, despite having switched covers in the past. I now get the error message 'Unauthorized', so I guess something doesn't like Firefox 52.
I'm not sure you can change the wording without going to a competely custom cover. But I might be wrong.

Sadly this gremlin doesn't want to go quietly.
I completely exited Firefox so all my cookies would go. Started Firefox again, logged into SOL, went to manage one of my stories, clicked on edit Cover: Template then clicked on the template already in use and got the 'Unauthorized' pop-up.
