I saw the message that Nominations for the Awards are open now. Does anyone know how long this process takes? Like, how long until nominations close, and then how much time for voting before winners are announced?
I looked at the FAQ- and About-page on the Clitorides site, and used the search function here. I tried looking for this info, but either I'm stupid or it really doesn't say...
We usually keep the nominations open until the end of February, and then once the nominations close, the voting starts and that continues until the end of April.
So, 2 months of nominations and 2 months of voting.
Lazeez, is there a category which doesn't begin with the label "Erotic"? There are several stories (and authors) on SOLthat I'd like to nominate but their stories really don't fit into the erotic genre. Additionally, is there any way to nominate stories and authors from Finestories? I've found several there which, in some way, should be recognized.

Regarding the name of the awards Clitorides, this question is a no-brainer.

There should be a separate award for no-sex and (really-)minimal sex stories. If it has its own site it could also be promoted on Scifistories and Finestories.

Yes, that could be a problem. Or make a rule that nominations require an url from Scifistories and/or Finestories, even if the story is available on SOL too. Might increase the story postings as well as the readership on those sites too.

I thought it was obvious it would have to be under a different name. After all such new awards are NOT Clitorides, if they were they would join the Clitorides awards.

Starfleet Carl's 'True History' books won multiple awards despite being posted on SOL and SciFi stories and, IMO, pretty much everything erotic happened off-screen after Book 1.

A pissy observation (on my own selfish behalf) is that multiple volumes of the same story can be nominated, as different works. So "My Epic Fucktale - Book 3", My Epic Fucktale - Book 5" and My Epic Fucktale - Book 7" take up 3 slots in the potential top 10 for a category, when in actual fact it's just the same story split three ways.
Lol, yeah, I noticed that as well. Especially if I look at the archive and see that it's been a back-and-forth between Starfleet Carl's ongoing series and G Younger's ongoing series for the last three years :D
But, oh well. It's the users who decide what they want to win. And if it's the fifth book in a series, that's what's gonna win.
