Reviews would be an option. So too the Recomendations Sub-Forum.
Blogs and Your "Favorites" List are more likely to be seen by those who view your Profile, or if you have any "Followers" if you are a writer.
Are authors allowed to review other authors' stories here?
I believe some authors also have reviewer status. But if it were forbidden, I'm not sure how that could be enforced.

That depends on whether you are talking about an "official" SOL reviewer that can post reviews here: https://storiesonline.net/library/story_reviews.php?cat=Date or if you are talking about someone posting ad-hoc reviews in the forum.
IIRC, official reviewers have to be pre-authorized by Lazeez. Given that, it should be fairly simple for him to check if an applicant for reviewer status is also an author, if he was interested in preventing that.
If you look at recent reviews you'll see some by current authors, so that's not a problem. Just send a message asking to be allowed to do reviews and they'll let you know one way or the other.
I agree that reviews are the best place to do this sort of thing as they stick around.

How, if they subscribed with different e-mail addresses? I suppose he could check the IP addresses they posted from, but that can also be circumvented.

That it's possible for a bad actor to circumvent it with sufficient effort is not remotely the same as saying it's not possible at all.
ETA:
Given some of the other rules that are in place for reviewers, I do not think that given a no authors rule*, anyone would be willing to go to any significant effort to circumvent it.
*Available evidence says there is no such rule.

I think you just argued against yourself. It's okay, you're allowed to change your mind. Women do it all the time, allegedly ;-)

We absolutely do not change our minds..!! We do frequently adopt opposing opinions. But we DO NOT change our minds.

This post will be edited frequently.
I am both a writer with stories on SOL and an "Official" Reviewer.
I read a short story that hit me so hard, I felt compelled to review it. It is very easy to request Lazeez to make you an "Official" Reviewer.
If I am allowed, I would expect almost anyone who has a record of not totally Bat$h!t stuff in the Forums would be approved too.
More Reviewers would be beneficial. Not enough stories get Reviewed, and thus another way to get more people to Read them!

I think I hate you AJ.
As inconceivable as it appears, I find myself posting in support of smileyprick, who has posted 104 reviews that many have found useful.
Ok, now where is the extra strong mouthwash?

I believe limited reviewer slots are available. It's probably awkward turfing out reviewers who never review anything so that they can be replaced.

I've worked out why this topic bothered me. 'Boost' is a slang word for 'steal'. ;-)
AJ
And I plan to keep boosting him -- I've got drafts of reviews of at least six more of his stories, not counting today's.
