As I was preparing to file the yearly taxes before the new year, I found that Bookapy has reached a milestone of sort. With 8 more days of sales in 2022, this year will be the first time that payments to authors will exceed $10,000 per month on average.
The author payments —including what's to be paid in January— have already exceeded $120,000. Gross sales including card processing fees, PayPal fees, Canadian taxes levied, server cost, etc... around $138,000. World Literature's share about $9500 (minus corporate taxes).
Bookapy started selling books in October of 2019. So milestone reached in little over 3 years.
Looking forward to bigger and brighter future, one where more authors make even more money!!
