I've just been reading reviews of his stories and it's been postulated that black_coffee is no longer with us, therefore the third part to his trilogy ('Sparks', 'The Gunny and Lenore') will never appear. However his last update was 2012 yet his stories haven't become premiere so presumably he's still logging in.
Does anyone know more?

The first thing to go is the [email] button, that vanishes when the author has not visited the site for one year. The next stage is premier-only and that happens after roughly 3½ years (it was 5 and is heading for 3 years).
In this case the [email] button is still there.
I heard a rumor that he was assaulted with cream and sugar.
