You should let Thinking Horndog know. If Richards mentions the Swarm by name there could be a copyright issue, but only TH would know for sure.
Does Thinking Horndog need to be alerted to someone making use of his copyrighted material?
How many wheels are on a Swarm Cycle? If one, it is a unicycle, two makes it a bicycle, three is a tricycle, and there might be many more. There are big trucks with 18, I think.
Isn't 'swarm' a mass noun? Shouldn't it be 'the Swarm cycles', when it arrives on one or more bicycles? I wonder whether a beekeeper has ever transported a swarm by bicycle.

I have sent Thinking Horndog a message linking to this topic.

He calls it the swarm in the book!!!!!
West Side Story is acknowledged to be a retelling of Romeo & Juliet.

Without obtaining and reading the book, I can't pass on how bad it all is. From the blurb, it doesn't seem to be a Swarm Cycle novel. Frankly, if he just threw out an acknowledgement, it would probably be fine, unless he's stolen the entire concept, which I doubt.
Well, there are no cap cards, no pickups etc.
There is a federation that is trying to organise a resistance to the swarm who are 1200 light years away.
The plot follows the adventures of Jason Ridley ,sci-fi author, and who is lying to him.
