I am amazed and happy to see a new story by this author. Nine of his now ten stories are behind the wall, they were all good, as I remember. I suspect once this story is complete is will also vanish behind the author hasn't visited in 5 years wall. You might want to read it in installments so you don't lose it.

Since there is a new story being posted it should reset the clock. It's not clear whether the stories that are premium already will go back to free status.

Not necessarily. There have been cases before where Lazeez received and posted previously unposted works by authors who had lapsed into the archive. In those cases the new stories did not reset the clock and they got archived almost immediately.

We'll have to see if that happens, I see his "email address" has not been reactivated. For my part, I really hope he is alive and writing.

While authors can put their own stories behind the paywall, this appears to be a case like Dominions Son mentioned above.

The posting happened shortly after the last archive check, so I'd guess that unarchiving will happen at the next check in just over 5hrs from now (04:30Z)

ETA post archive check: As Dinsdale notes below, the new posting has been archived (even though it's only the first chapter) so this was an internal-to-SOL posting of material already on-hand rather than someone using the Cat5 account. This does raise more questions, though - if SOL has the whole thing available, why not post it in one go? If it's not all available, why post it as 'in progress' rather than 'incomplete and inactive'?

The (chapter of the) story has been archived along with the rest. Cat5 vanished approximately 6 years ago this month and he won't be back.

The first one (Around and Around by Cat5 ) was written just over 17 years ago and has a part 2 .

The one that appeared today (California Virgin ) was written May 2005
