nerds

i_like2_sail2 ๐Ÿšซ

I am looking for stories where the nerd gets the girl. or where the girl hurts the nerd and then realizes she loves him. I am not looking for any ESP, mind control harem stories. If you can help that would be great. I do prefer longer stories

I'm not a fan of Lazlo Zalezac's stories, but one of the exceptions that proves the rule is 'Mothers and Daughters'. The girl happens to be a nerd too, if that's acceptable.

The Wimp and the Deb by the Clansman

Trying to remember the name and don't have the time to look it up. Guy was a nerd in high school, and tried to commit suicide because of the abuse he was getting. Goes to Stanford and hooks up with an Olympic class swimmer. Great story.

Don Lockwood's Finding a Place. His Dance of a Lifetime is considered one of the all time greats.

All my stories are basically "heroine gets her geek", as told from the clueless geek's perspective.

Harry Carton's Games might fit the bill, though it is a shorter story.

D.T. Iverson has many stories of that stripe, especially the "One Exceptional Family" universe. In some, both members of the couple are brilliant. In some cases, it's the woman who is brilliant and the man is more an average Joe.

karactr ๐Ÿšซ

Any of Lazlo's Donladson stories. Though I will warn that they are ALL nerds. Even the gunslinging ones. Also, the universe is incomplete.

I am also into nerd stories. You might want try my story (The Rocker).

Try Jay Cantrell's Learning Curves.

There is also "Country Boy, City Girl". One of the main subplots involves D&D, an unquestionably nerd activity.

Tom Frost's Too Much Love.
https://storiesonline.net/s/16175/the-billionaire-life

Adopted gamer geek from a small town turns 18 and finds out he inherited a multi-billion dollar trust from his sperm donor.
First thing he does is hire his nerd friends as experts on the subject matter of him so they can keep him grounded. Then he hires a bunch of lingerie models to play D&D with him.
Its a long story, still being updated. There are elements of swapping and polyamory, Borgia level family politics, legal shenanigans, Spooks and a degree of harem like activity as great wealth attracts beautiful women.
Not a stroke story, any actual sex scenes are muted, leaving much to the imagination. Long on desire and short on Tab A into Slot B. Lots of plot and character development. Give it a shot.

Not adopted. His mother (actual biological mother) was married to the man who raised him, but she had an affair with the rich "sperm donor".

In all, or nearly all US states, if a married woman has a child, her husband is legally that child's father even if he wasn't the biological father.

@Dominions Son

I was under the impression that his parents married after he was born, though I may be wrong.
IIRC his mom died when he was eight, he continues to live on with his step-dad. There is a line where Nick or his dad mentions meeting the bio-grandparents at the mothers funeral, that Nick knew he was adopted, so he was suspicious of the grand parents who were introduced as aunt and uncle.

Regardless, I am enjoying the story. Its a good take on an old trope of the rightful heir to the throne, raised as a commoner. That goes back at least to the Matter of Britain and probably further back than that. The Harry Potter generation have no clue how recycled their favorite/only book is.

IIRC, it's mentioned in the first couple of chapters that his mother had an affair with his biological father, which to me at least implies that his parents were already married.

However, even if not, in nearly all US states, with the son born while the mother is not married and then she marries later, the husband legally becomes the son's father without a formal requirement of adoption.

I can't see how this could possibly be the case. In the case where a couple are married and the husband is not the biological father, the husband would be listed on the birth certificate and is assumed to be the father until or unless proof is provided that proves otherwise (DNA testing, for instance).

In the case of a marriage after the birth of a child, the father would be listed on the birth certificate or would be listed as unknown so a legal procedure would have to take place for the new husband to be a legal guardian. This would especially be the case if the father was still alive.

I'm not a lawyer, but this is my opinion based on my experience.

My understanding is that unless another man is listed on their birth certificate as the father, a man she marries later is automatically legally responsible for her children with or without formal adoption.

I went through this when divorcing my 2nd wife back in 1975. I needed to prove to the judge that I was not her kid's father and should not pay child support or alimony, even though my name was on the birth certificate. In my case it was simply a matter of giving the judge a photo of the kid.

I suspect within the United States that in some states a man might have some legal obligations in the situation mentioned above - but unless there is a formal adoption, those obligations would cease to exist if the couple were to get a divorce or if the woman were to die.

My understanding is that yes, without the formal adoption, his obligation for prior children would end with divorce, but does NOT end if she dies while they are still married.

In all, or nearly all US states, if a married woman has a child, her husband is legally that child's father even if he wasn't the biological father.

That rule called the Lord Mansfield rule was changed in most US states in the 90 when dna became available the husband is now only the presumed father. Under the prior rule you could not rebut a child born in marriage but now you can

I divorced my 2nd wife in 1975 and had no trouble rebutting the child born 7 months after our marriage. The kid being black and both my ex & I being white pretty much took care of any issues. I just gave the presiding judge a photo of her son and any questions of paternity, child support, etc. were rendered moot.

Perhaps it is just happy to have sex with ANY story from ANY genre? Or even just happy to be read to completion?

It may have gotten off 1 or 2 times in the latter case as there are always desperate people.

(JK, AJ. :D I read it. I liked it. I recommend it.)
