Can any one suggest me good long stories like Lucky Jim?
Have you read 'Lucky Jim II' and 'Escape from Lexington' yet. Also 'The Earl's Man', 'Of Honor and Betrayal', 'The Goatherd', and 'Spirit Quest'. They all have pretty much the same theme - common man who takes advantage of what he has/knows, and improves his life and the life of those around him.
If you don't mind a little do-over thrown in as well, 'A New Past' by Charlie Foxtrot is also a very good read. Also, most of Argon's stories are worth reading as well.
more up to date but same theme

all dual writers stories are worth a read.
For a more modern take on the theme

Like it in what ways?
Guy heads west in the pre-civil war US and picks up wives along the way? Lazlong's "Wagons Ho!" and "Washed Up" fit the bill. The Old Guy's "I Fell Through". MattHHelm's "Somewhere in Time - A Trip to Waco" is set a little later.
It would be easier to make good suggestions if we knew what you like about Lucky Jim.
'Boone the Early Years' implies 'Boone II' and possibly more. I am looking forward to find out what Ernest has in store for Boone and the Southwest.
More than anything I likethe'Luck'part... Where he gets success in everything n helps others...

Try Terran Trader and Privateer. Also look for Escape to Lexington
I love this sort of story. Indeed the Florida Friends series is good so long as you can get past the swinging lifestyle.
