I actually started that one, but got a bit turned off by the extreme coercion/torture scenes at the beginning. I did wonder if that ever relented or got better? Or is that kind of a core theme?
The late Wes Boyd, in his Magic Carpet, has a (very capable) female MC who enjoys sex. The novel is elsewhere (including on his site), but other novels in this universe are on SOL (some may even mention Jennlynn Swift). Several other of his novels have females who enjoy occasional hookups for pleasure rather than permanent relationship.
