I've just completed reading Defenseman again. In doing so, I seem to remember a similar plot. Geographically, I think it took place in the same region, but... There is a possibility that I am mixing two plots together. If my memories firm up I may add to this

I would think that the Search Function would have included a story with one Letter different...
Not me. That would be a bit of work for a site-level search engine. I don't remember if there's a regex option for the search, but even there, you'd need to have a feel for the possible substitution.
