Many tales here on SOL, free or premium, feature male protagonists as a King, Baron, Duke, Wizard or some sort of 'in control' character.
Often physically adroit and intellectually superior.
This character is often proactive with invention of 'new stuff' given the era the story takes place in.
Then the female characters 'take charge' of the realm when the main character is not available to take care of an invasion by some other asshole.
