Have i done something to anybody since i can only read 3 stories per day? started with 16, then during lockdown it was 100, then 50, and now 3. I am on disability benefits and can't afford anything extra like a premium account. Hope it is not gonna stay at 3.
My free account still shows 50 as the limit. I think 3 is the sample limit if you are not logged in, but you must have been logged in to post here.

When the site detects multiple accounts coming from the same IP address, that is usually a sign of mass downloads. So the system limits all those accounts to 3 per day.
Do you have more than one account? Were you accessing the site through Tor? If you have multiple devices (computer and tablet and/or phone) make sure they're all logged into the same account and not each with its own account. And don't use Tor as Tor routes all connections thru the closest exit to the server and you may be inadvertently sharing IP address with somebody else unknowingly.
I've restored your setting to 50 stories. But I only do that once, so please do what I suggested above.

I don't have this problem with Mullvad VPN.

It depends on how they set up. Some VPNs have only the single or a few IPs for where they pop out of their network to hit the local Internet, while others have a whole bunch. I've heard of VPNs that uses the same IP for people coming from the same entry point, and I've also heard of VPNs that have a different exit point IP for each client so it looks the same as someone using a local ISP.

While technically true. It's way less likely to occur.
Tor is well known and free.
While there are countless other VPN providers for money. So the odds of two members accessing the site simultaneously thru the same VPN provider, and thru the same node are much, much smaller.

There is another user on the same ip, and that user have it's own login. I will try to get the user to use the same account. There is no tor or any other vpn in use, so it must be the two account that is in use that got me in trouble.
Again thank you for fixing it for me. And i have to say i hate the people that make all the trouble for the normal folks.
I am using VPN all the time, so the thought crossed my mind. But so far so good. 300 stories. Perhaps, with premium subscription this 3 story limit is not applied even when multiple accounts from the same IP address?
