@MrWolf_UKI guess I'm old fashioned. I try different techniques, but in the end, text is text. You can dress it up however you want, but in the end, it's just that ... text, pure and simple.
Besides, there are some significant issues with color blindness across different segments of society, so you need to be aware when you make something impossible to read.
For all the things I attempt, I stick to the basics:
- italics for emphasis
- bolding for headers
- indenting to signify something is distinct from the rest of the story
I rarely screw with covers, other than on covers where I try to blend the font colors to match the rest of the cover. But when I use the same font in the story, I stick to either straight black, or white with a black outline.
