iOS 9.3

tuckerd 🚫

Recently downloading SOL stories, that have new chapters, has become a problem. Case in point is today Parenthood added Chapter 19. When downloading, using EPUB, it will only download up to Chapter 16 on my iPad mini, but thru Chapter 19 on my iPhone 6S. Similar happenings with other stories. Other than the update I have made no changes. Any ideas how to correct this?
I did update to 9.3.1 tonight with no change in results.

How much free storage do you have on the iPad mini?

That's the first thing I would look at.

This issue is clearly device related and not website related. As DS said, check your available memory on the iPad mini, then check it's other settings. I'd Also try clearing out the cookies and cache files in case it's not uploading the latest data from SoL.

typo edit - bold word added when I realised I missed it out.

Did you switch to using iCloud storage for iBooks? That may have something to do with it.

That seems more likely than device limitations, as epubs aren't very large, especially compared to other media most people utilize. However, iCloud is both incredibly expensive and more restrictive than any other cloud storage tool, so it's likely tuckered never secured enough offline storage.
