Transition from Premiere to 'Normal' account.

wageslave ๐Ÿšซ

For varying reasons after many years as a Premiere member I allowed my account to lapse.

Imagine my surprise when I got a message saying thank you for my previous support and informing me that my Premiere would be briefly extended (I can't remember how long - 30 days? - though I wouldn't swear to it).

However while for a few minutes (two?) this was indeed the case it quickly went away.

After such a pleasant surprise having it suddenly yanked away was annoying. Now I am not saying I am entitled to anything (I'm not) but if this is no longer a thing you do you really need to remove the message saying it would be extended.

Secondly I have my account set to filtered and while a Premiere member this was the case. Now I am no longer so this filter seems to have gone away. Is this the default setting? Or is it something not available to non Premiere members?

That's odd. I never built such a message into the expiration notification.

the message says:

If you choose not to renew at the moment, your library and settings will be retained for six months. If you renew within the next six months, your library and other settings will be what they are now (you would be using the site in free membership mode). If six months pass without you renewing, your library and premier service settings will be deleted.

The premier expiration notifications/script handling doesn't touch the filtered/not-filtered flag for the account. Well, not on purpose that's for sure.

Thank you for your past support.

Perhaps I misunderstood this as retaining Premiere membership. However within minutes my library had been deleted.

Also despite my account claiming it is indeed filtered I am now seeing content I was not seeing before.

EDIT to add - Thank you for your swift, succinct response

I'm pretty sure from past experience, that it hasn't been deleted, the data is still in the system, you just can access it anymore.

Ah. That makes sense. (And thank you) Perhaps the message could be a little clearer then? Just a thought.

I think the filter issue does remain a valid concern.

It says your library and settings will be retained for six months.

It does not say you will have access to the library in the mean time.
