Since so many of the postings to Lost Stories are actually about finding it to help the Little Bo Peeps who have lost their sheep, perhaps the name should be Lost and Found?
On the subject of Bug Reporting, now that cold weather is here I haven't seen any bugs in my house. There might be some spiders in the basement but I haven't been down there in weeks.
Check on Washington, D.C., there's plenty of useless roaches there, and other unsavoury bugs as well.
Politics, a compound word from the Greek poly, meaning many, and ticks for bloodsucking insects. I can agree with you ticks are unsavory bugs.
The second u in unsavoury is objected to by my (American) spell check. Two great nations divided by a single language. Lots more than two, these days. I wonder if eventually it will be like Latin, the ancestor of a number of Romance languages. Some of the Latin American Spanishes (that may not be a word) and Brazilian Portuguese differ from the home country language at least as much as American differs from Australian. Perhaps someday English will be a foreign language in our home countries. Your problem won't be that Spanish replaces it. The Canadians already have the dual language problem, English and almost French.

UK English
US English - with many words of a different spelling to UK English
International English - which accepts the spelling options of both the US and UK English.
Apparently my spell check skipped Webster and went back to Johnsons 1755 dictionary. It spells everything with 'ou'. Maybe they were going the extra mile to avoid copyright problems.

As a US citizen let me be the one to say, I rather doubt anyone in D.C. is that high on the evolutionary scale, Some might make if to being mold but most are just slime.
For a while the Mayor of DC was Marion Barry. I think of him whenever I put Marionberry jelly on my toast. Is preserved fruit higher or lower than slime?
There is more to be said about multiple languages in single countries. Ireland, the Roman Catholic southern part has lots of English speakers, but the official language is Gaelic. My wife had to learn it to graduate from University College Dublin in the 1950s.
The Philippines, another country with English speakers, has two official languages, the other is sometimes called Philippino and somewhat more often Tagalog. Of course they have over 700 islands and nearly that many other languages so most high school graduates speak at least three or four languages. See some of the stories by Very Well Aged here and also his site on ASSTR. His stories were affected by the no sex under 14 years old rule, so some of the recent ones aren't here.

My aunt refused to allow my cousin to accept a scholarship to Dublin because they required that students learn Gaelic. He couldn't get a uni place anywhere else.
France has two, perhaps four languages in current use. There is classical French (ex oil), a language in Breuil (that is Brittany to everyone else whilst close to the Spanish border there is Occitan which is a language tested in the Bac as optional and has separate dialects from Italy to the Atlantic. This latter is intermittent - the Cerdagna is a valley close to the border plus other villages where it is de rigeur (even the menus are in Occitan) whilst over the border there is a dialect of it called Catalan. Further west and crossing the border is Basque.
Great fun all round and better still if you understand Spanish!
