Very short chapters and semi-short chapters

n1xnkgeo ๐Ÿšซ

To whom it may concern (I am visually impaired legally blind) therefore I use a program known as a screen reader this program converts the text on the screen to a speech output synthesizer therefore the computer reads the book to me in the form of a spoken word.
The issues arise when the chapters are relatively short it breaks my train of thought and I have to go back and constantly reload I would imagine if I was reading the screen as a visual person this would not be an issue but as I listen to it becomes an issue I would appreciate it if somehow the chapters could be much longer therefore the interest would not wane when reading the story thank you truly yours George

George, can your software read the text from other programs? If so, then downloading the stories instead of reading them online seems like the perfect solution for you. You could move almost seamlessly from chapter to chapter without having to reload the screen.

This will be much more effective on complete stories than it would be on serials you are following, but it seems like a partial solution.

I also suspect that if you write to specific authors, with your specific needs, and request accommodation, I think you'll find the receptive. I can make copies of my serial available in several different formats, depending on, as @Reluctant Sir says, what software you make use of.

A better option, rather than limiting the length of 'chapters' (think poetry), you should request that Lazeez add some code to take the length into account, perhaps delaying the automatic repeating of a page. However, I'm not sure what specifically is causing the SOL chapter to repeat. That little detail is probably required to figure out how to correct the website's behavior.

But, asking every single author who's ever been on the site, and every author who might ever join in the future, to only write sagas is a bad approach, because it puts a never-ending demand on the few people who depend on screen readers to use the site.

So sue me. I offered a quick and dirty solution to his problem.

Maybe Lazeez can solve it with technology. Maybe that solution takes weeks/months to create. Maybe it's not something Lazeez is willing to do (for whatever reason, including technical complexity, financial, etc, etc).

For what it's worth, I HAVE shared, gratis, PDF and/or eBook copies with blind readers for exactly this reason.

G'day George,

I have all of my stories available as single files in PDF, e-pub, and html with some of the shorter ones accumulated into anthologies. If you send me a SOL message me with which is your preferred option and your email I can send those files for the stories of mine you want to read.

It probably won't help, but if you have a Premiere membership, you could instead download the story as an epub and then read the entire story (to date) in one sitting.
