Request on 'to be archived' page

madnige 🚫

When there is no content so No stories are up for archiving at the moment. is displayed, could we have the loading timestamp displayed as it is on the 'to be archived' pages with some content? This would be useful to avoid unnecessary or over-frequent reloads. This applies to all three sites.

@madnige

I added 'Check back in about x hours' message below the 'No stories...' line.

The cron job that checks for archiving runs twice a day at 12:30 EST/EDT.

Lazeez,

On the home page where the Up for Archival link is displayed, would it be possible to display the date and time of the last time a story was archived? This would mean I wouldn't need to click on the link if the date is older than the last time I checked. This would also be useful for the Removed Stories link on the Library page as well.

@Ernest Bywater

On the home page where the Up for Archival link is displayed, would it be possible to display the date and time of the last time a story was archived?

That would add an additional database query every time anybody loaded the home page. Would be a significant increase on load.

OK, I can understand why you don't want to do it.
