I could swear when I used Quick Search earlier today, it searched titles. Now, it seems to search story text. Did something change? Did I flip a setting somewhere? Is something else going on?

I've been monitoring what people typed in the quick search field, especially on their phone where it's the most prominent thing on the home page. People try to search for titles, authors, codes and contents. So in order to make it more useful, I've made it more powerful.
It is now a ubiquitous search field. It searches everything in the stories on the site. From title, author, description, tags and contents and they're sorted in that order. But It seems that I may need to trim down the results when there are many chapters listed of the same story.
It's a work in progress.
Cool!
It just surprised me a little, but I'm glad for the enhanced functionality.
(And I agree: multiple chapters coming back for a story is a little annoying. But I get that it's a work in progress)

I've fixed the results to show one entry per story and adjusted the excerpt generation for more meaningful result.
It's much better now.
The biggest drawbacks are the loss of the ability to sort the results. The rest is good.
