One feature I love is that when I stop reading and go elsewhere, when I come back to the site and click on the story I was reading in my library, it repositions to where I had left off.
Something odd happened with positioning that I don't know if it's the way it's supposed to work. I started reading a story a long time ago and read 4 chapters. So if I came back to the story it would position me at the beginning of Chapter 5.
But I didn't come back. I broke my own rule of not reading a completed story and the new chapters adding were too slow for me so I stopped reading the story. And then one day I noticed the story was complete so I decided to read it. But as another thread brought up, I didn't remember the 1st 4 chapters so needed to read it from the beginning.
Although the system positioned me at Chapter 5, I went to the index page and started from the beginning, clicking on Chapter 1. But, after reading Chapter 1, I went and did other stuff. When I came back I expected to be positioned on Chapter 2, but I was positioned on the index page. I remembered that I was up to Chapter 2 so I clicked on that and read it.
The same thing happened after reading Chapter 2 and later going back to the story. It brought me to the index page where I clicked on Chapter 3.
It kept doing that until I got to Chapter 5 (the first chapter I hadn't previously read). I don't remember if the system took me to Chapter 5 when I returned after reading Chapter 4 or I had to click on Chapter 5 on the index page, but after that the system no longer took me to the index page. It positioned me like I'm accustomed to. (I think it did it correctly for Chapter 5, but I'm not sure. Or maybe when I got to the end of Chapter 4 I clicked on the link to Chapter 5 and that notified the system where to take me the next time.)
Is this the way it's supposed to work? And if so, does that mean if I re-read a story the positioning won't work since I previously read all the chapters?
