I don't know if it was an intentional change or not, but it seems that the indication (by change of font color) that a story or chapter has been or is in the process of being read has been removed. I've got enough on going stories that I'm reading that it's impossible to remember where I am in every story.

I don't think the color change in story titles is a function of SOL.
It's a function of your browser, keeping track of what links you've clicked on. If you clear your cached data and cookies, or if you move to a new device, your browser loses that information.
It also changes back after a period of time. There are some authors where there is a long enough gap in updates that I no longer have any indication that I have read any of it.
