Pete Fox in this blog https://storiesonline.net/blogentry/65469 mention a few stories he recently updated.
25267,29796, 22284, 24810 (this last one I downloaded now).
There is no additional chapter, so the story update date remain old.
Oddly they did not appears in my https://storiesonline.net/library/not_downloaded.php list albeit more recent updates are already showing up.
Is it a bug, or should I wait for some background update process?
I checked the code. There are no bugs. I watched the system since you reported this. Every chapter repost, every story repost bumped the modification field for the story, which is used to pull downloaded stories that have an earlier download date than the modification date.
I can't find anything in the system that could explain what you're reporting other than maybe some transient glitch.

No, that happened last march. The modification happened in January.
Sometimes, I get reports of typos directly to me. I have the ability to edit the text directly. So if I fix something in the text, the modification date changes for the whole story, but it seems I need to fix the code so that the chapter shows as modified in the list of chapters too.
