I'm reading a story and typically, when I leave it in the middle and then come back to it, the system positions me where in the chapter I had left off.
Now it positions me on the Index page. When I click on the chapter that has the color indicating I had clicked on it, the system then repositions me to where I left off in that chapter.
Is that new (supposed to work this way)? I did make a change on my end. I upgraded my Mac IOS to Tahoe (version 26.2).

Always go to index/cover first
Jump to last read chapter
I explicitly set mine to Always go to index/cover first
I didn't change anything on my end.
I tried changing it to the Index page option and saving it. And then changing it back to the "jump to last read chapter" and saved it. Nothing changed. It's still taking me to the Index page.

This feature is only for bookmarked stories. If you don't bookmark a story, the site's system doesn't keep track of the read chapters progress.
The location within the chapter is handled at the browser level and works for all stories, but auto-jump to the last read chapter needs the bookmark.

I saw the story on the home page so I thought I'd try it. I didn't bother bookmarking it. Instead, I used the last story read link to find it again.
Usually I bookmark stories so that explains why I hadn't seen this before.
