Bookmarks persisting after title removal and story id assigned to new story

whitedruid 🚫

Recently restarted my premium subscription and am seeing some stories showing up in the feed as brand new posts with a bookmark already set.

Review the bookmarks page in my library and see several of them with a yellow 0/## showing up in the list.

My suspicion is the bookmark tables aren't getting cleaned up when a title has been removed or before the story id that the bookmark table is probably keyed to are reassigned to a new title.

I've left the bookmarks alone for now so you'll be able to see them in the current state.

Not possible. Story deletion is done via an SQL transaction. If the story gets deleted, so goes every trace including the bookmark.

However, you have an extensive list of followed authors (610 at this moment) and in the library's preferences panel, line 18 is checked. That means any new story by one of your followed authors gets automatically added to your library.

Ahh, that would explain it then. Thanks

Thought it was really odd to see a brand new showing as having a bookmark, but if that's the indicator of its also being in the library, that would certainly make sense. Thanks again
