"Updates" section no longer gets "shadowed" after I look at it

Weird and wondering if I did something. When looking at stories in the "Updates" section, (serials updates in last 30 days), it no longer gets "shadowed" to show me the stories that I've already looked at the last time I was in "updates". The "New Stories" section still "shadows" the stories since the last time in the section.

Any ideas what happened?

Thanks SunSeeker

Edit - Uffff...read my explanation of the problem after posting and thought "huh?". Oh well hopefully someone is good at deciphering/interpreting and will understand what I tried to say lol

You missed some updates.

Keep going in the list until you see greyed ones or you reach the end of the list. It will function properly after that.

You might want to increase the number of stories you show on a page (it's in the "Preferences" section under "My Account"), the number of updates posted each day appears to be increasing and if it exceeds your limit, this will happen more frequently.
I have my stories-per-page at 30.
btw, I don't think that setting affects the main page. Our glorious webmaster would have to answer that one.

Thanks to both of you, Don't know which one worked cause neither did until I logged off then logged in again :D

@sunseeker

It was two ways to achieve the same result.
You can page through the "Updated Stories" list until you reach something greyed out, or you can increase the number of stories on a page in the hope that it is sufficient.
If my solution does not work immediately, go on to the next nn stories as Lazeez suggested. When you get to something greyed out, I think you then need to visit pages n .. 3, 2, 1 in order. Much easier if your increased-size page 1 was sufficient in the first place.

That is how I have always done it before but for some reason it did not work anymore. I refreshed and scrolled a few times, went to different section of sol before I wrote here. Then tried 1 suggestion, then the other, scrolling until reached greyed out stories, but yesterdays stories didn't grey out until I logged off and logged back in.

Thanks to you and Lazeez for the suggestions! It's working fine again so all is right once more!
