If I go to Search by category, 'Fa/ft' is followed by 'boy' then 'girl' then 'Ma/Ma'. However, if I then click on 'Show all tags', 'Fa/ft' is followed by 'Ma/Ma' and 'boy' and 'girl' do not exist.
A strange feechur, maybe even a bug : 'Show all tags' clearly does not show all tags.

"Lolita" and "Pedo" are also missing with the "show all tags" so I guess it's because of the filter that blocks boy, girl, lolita, and pedo. The filter blocking the grandfathered under-14-age codes is the default. You have to turn it off.
Go to "My Accounts," then "preferences," then "access level" to see if your filter is on or off. You can change it there too.

Duh! I have it turned off too. I don't exclude anything.
I guess it's a bug left over when the filter was introduced. It doesn't check the filter status.

Hypothetically...
A celibate paedophile gets caught with child pornography on his computer, and spends time in prison. When he's released, he absconds, illegally changes his name without notifying the sex offenders register, and successfully reinvents himself. He buys a house in a well-to-do neighbourhood, and one of his richest neighbours invites him round to a neighbourhood get together/welcoming party in his huge back garden, with a swimming pool and barbecue. The richest neighbour's 15yo daughter quickly twigs the protagonist's nature when she notices how much attention he pays to the younger girls in the swimming pool, and uses it to blackmail him into performing sex acts with her.
I think it might be possible to write that story without violating the site rules, yet shouldn't it be coded with 'pedo' as a sort of squick alert?

No. The pedo definition is: An adult initiating sexual contact with a pre-pubescent child (boy or girl, 13 or under)
In your hypothetical story, he's not initiating the sex and she's not 13 or under. The code doesn't mean he is/was a pedophile. It's performing a pedophilia act. The pedo act that happened in the past would not be described in the story so the tag would not be required.

I know, like my hypothetical coach boy story codes. The problem for me is the codes were created for sex acts. So using Ma and mt in my hypothetical story doesn't seem to fit either.
The "pedo" code doesn't mean the man is a pedophile, but that he's initiating sex with children 13 years old and under.
What if it was a story about a pedophile who turned his life around and became a hunter of pedophiles? No pedophilia sex is described, but he was a pedophile and the men he's tracking down and turning over to the police (or killing vigilante style) are pedophiles. It's actually a story about pedophiles, but not in the sexual way. It's a vigilante story.
In my novel "Sexual Awakening," there's a pedophile in the story. But there is no sex with him and any underage character. All that happened in the past. I would never have thought of using the "pedo" code. There is no pedophilia in the story. No sex with any character under 18. Actually, no sex with any character less than in their twenties. The pedophilia is part of the plot and defines how the characters are and their motives. It's not a story about pedophilia. It's a story about revenge.
