Your Anti BOT feature has broken all the stories

craigvicdunbar ๐Ÿšซ

I am a paying subscriber to this site, and even after logging out and logging back in, your "Click to Load Text" feature newly deployed to your site refuses to work - all that happens is it says "Connecting to Server...." and nothing else happens - please roll back this feature urgently until you have it working properly. It is not cool to only read a fraction of a story and then be teased with the rest but not get it...
Thank you
Craig

Same problem here

Same fault here - Just started a new story and can't read it. Paid membership should NOT have to jump through these hoops! Chrome Version 106.0.5249.103 Win 10

same here. paid acct

@craigvicdunbar

If you have a paid premier membership and you are properly logged in, you should not be seeing the "Click to Load Text" at all. Full text should load first time.

I have a paid premier membership and I have never (not once) seen the "Click to Load Text".

Hi,

Seems from the posts I may not the only paying subscriber to have the issue. If it has not afflicted you as yet - don't refresh of reboot....you are in the clover for the moment. Definitely keen to see how quickly Lazeez Jiddan (Webmaster) fixes this one...

@Dominions Son

Today is the 1st day I have ever seen it myself

@craigvicdunbar

Log out, log back in still seeing it, if you don't log in it actually works and loads the rest

I'm seeing it now. Both FF and Chrome.

I concur with this thread. I am a paid meber, and all I get is a 'Connecting to Server' animation, and nothing else ever happens, and the ends of almost every story I read are cut off.

Have there been any change that make ie not working?
I can't get it to load all text in ie, but it works fine in edge and chrome. I prefere ie when reading and downloading a story. The .mht files is the only one that saves all settings and shows the downloaded file like the settings is set.

It won't work in IE. It can't be made to work in IE without removing a couple of recently implemented features.

The last version of IE was 10 years ago. Time to let that old dog die.

I am testing chrome and edge but the scrolling feature in ie where i use updown arrow after i click on the middle button on my mouse. It let me set the pace of the automatic scrolling when i am reading. I have googled the h... to try find solution in the other web readers. Anybody that can give me feedback on solution is appreciated.

The hamburger menu has auto scrolling that should work in all browsers. You invoke it with a hit to the escape key.

Try switching to Edge.

And if the OS is so old you can't do that, then try to find a version of Firefox (preferably) or Chrome for your OS.

I'm grateful that Laz still supports my 32-bit version of Firefox.

Current state of support for RFC 2557:
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/MHTML

There are multiple good alternative to Internet Explorer mht.
