I was just looking over Finestories and Sci-Fi Stories. I know that they are being edited by TeNderLoin. All the Sci-Fi stories are premium, while the others have none. Is this an ESP (error some place), or something else?

I seem to recall a blog post in which TeNderLoin said he'd fix the premium problem.
AJ
Was it TeNderLoin or was it King Lazeez? Back then it did not matter because premier-only was only applied on SOL, not on FS or SFS. I think that may have changed recently.
Was it TeNderLoin
Yes, I believe it was but I can't find the post.
Lazeez has said that a change to the log in system means premier only now operates on all sites, and earned premier membership is only particular to the site on which it is earned.
AJ
The second part can't be correct, I just opened the most recent chapter of Betsy Carter on SF Stories.
Look at https://storiesonline.net/d/s6/t9839/refuseniks-stories-premier (and it was TeNderLoin).

Me too.
"For the rest of this story you need a
Premier Membership"
AJ
Very strange, I have full access to the story. Do you have Premier Membership (of SOL)? (I do).
Based upon what Lazeez previously said, it's supposed to be based upon each specific SITE, and doesn't necessarily carry over. So, premium membership on SOL doesn't carry over to SFStories or Finestories. Or it's not supposed to, anyway.
I have it on both SOL and SF courtesy of stories published on both.
What I suspect is, even though TeNderLoin is posting the edits on SF, it was more than five years since Lazlo actually logged on there, so that makes all his stuff premier, even though Jim's keeping things alive. I could be wrong, but it's possible.
So, premium membership on SOL doesn't carry over to SFStories or Finestories. Or it's not supposed to, anyway.
If I remember what Lazeez has said correctly, a paid premium membership should work on all three, but the free premium for authors is site specific.
I transferred all three sites to a unified membership system, and there are no more free premier services on Scifistories.com nor Finestories.com. One paid membership covers all three sites.
Premier author membership is not transferable to other sites due to certain limitations. Authors get premier service at the sites they earned them on.
Yep, that matches up with what I said.
The second part can't be correct
You're right. When I look at the story page, the first chapter title is bolder and I get the 'premier membership' message, but I can actually open and read the latest chapter.
I only hope that's not a bug that Laz will now go and fix.
AJ
On Premier stories that have multiple chapters, as best I remember, I can always open each and every chapter, what I can't do is read any chapter completely, I get the 'premier' message part way through each and every chapter.
Is this what everybody sees ?
Ian
Damn, I didn't try that.
I have to admit I'm not sure it's fair for authors to post the same stories on multiple World Literature sites and earn another lot of credit for it each time. That's a definite bias in favour of authors who write no-sex Science Fiction stories for the triple credit.
AJ
Is this what everybody sees ?
No, but then I've had a paid premier membership for a long time.
