The part about the hymen was for in case they hadn't had sex or he thought she was a virgin.

I did say,

She told him she was a virgin "OR" had only had sex once a long time ago with a small dicked guys.

So if the story went in the direction of him knowing about only the guys with small dicks the hymen regrow in part would be left out of the story.

And I did say she doesn't know any other way just for times like this so people wouldn't assume she already knew that stuff. Maybe she's not very bright or she was never made aware of those methods.

It is in fact quite possible for a girl/woman to lose her hymen without sex (including insertable toys as sex).

Groin injuries from a number of different sports will do the job.

It's easy enough to explain away, so why go to the trouble of restoring it.

Still seems odd that she would go to some mad scientist type before talking to her own doctor about the issue first. Her doctor would know about what is possible via cosmetic/reconstructive surgery.

Heck, there are supposed to be exercises a woman can do to tighten up down there. It is a muscle after all.

In essence, you're asking readers to swallow a very hard-to-believe fantasy where there's really no gain to either party.

I'm not the one asking that. I'm trying to get across not only that it's hard to swallow, but why. I haven't been succeeding.

Not all the details are going to be put in the description. Maybe I have ideas on how it'll make sense or maybe somebody could give an idea on how it could work or say hey interesting idea but it might be better if this happens in that part instead, or use imagination. No insult meant.

Well you bring up good points. When I started out writing ideas on sites I went into very great detail and even put in some history or reasons why some things happen. Then people would always say things like how I've put lots of thought into the idea so why not do the story myself. So I put just a little less detail in and people complain that there isn't enough detail and say the story wouldn't be worth it. And also maybe when I put these ideas up now a days maybe I just don't want to put all the spoilers. I sometimes feel like if I put all the details in the description that people are asking for or suggesting that I'd have the full story laid out for them. But some of these notes left behind makes me think that maybe I should just have it so that either the guy or the girl depending on which version of the story should be living in a fairytale land and even though they're worried they help an old lady who turns out to be their fairy godmother or some magical being who tried to help them out by giving them a gift that may or may not end up turning into a curse.

Not all stories would want to just have the girl go through normal excersizes or surgery to tighten her pussy up. Some stories have complications and twists and turns. Maybe to keep them entertaining or keep them from being like other stories with similar situations.

Is that okay?

If you want to try and write it, go ahead.

Keep in mind though, that suspension of disbelief only goes so far. A story that feels implausible even by it's own internal rules is not going to do well.

Especially if you have no imagination. Not saying you don't have one. Just saying some people don't.

The truth is stranger than fiction. This is so because the truth can get away with being strange and inexplicable, but fiction has to make sense to succeed.

I wasn't exactly going with truth for my story ideas. But I'm getting the vibe that Fairey tales or sci-fi aren't your kind of stories. There are some elements in those that could actually happen but lots of stuff that couldn't happen.

No, I am a big fan of fantasy and sci-fi.

Fiction having to make sense isn't about whether it could or couldn't happen in the real world. Lots of things happen in the real world that don't make sense. Reality is, whether we can make sense of it or not.

Fiction making sense is about internal consistency, does the story violate it's own internal rules. Fiction making sense is about the readers being able to understand your character's motives.

Also when it comes to suspension of disbelief, the closer your story is to the real world, to your reader's every day experience, the harder it gets for many readers to suspend disbelief over the things you get wrong.

Magic and Star Trek type technology are way outside side the every day experience of your readers. Readers will accept these things with little trouble.

On the other hand, if you make gravity behave in a way that is contrary to your reader's experience/knowledge, you will have to work harder to explain this in a way that helps the reader maintain the suspension of disbelief.

By the same token, real people sometimes do things that are irrational or unexpected. But if you are writing a story where a given female character is presented early as a prim and proper prude but then later acts like a complete slut with no transition or explanation your readers are going to be asking themselves: What the fuck just happened? Why did that character do that?

If you want your readers to enjoy your stories, your character's actions have to make sense in terms of how you have developed that character up to that point in the story.

My plan was for the reader to know that she isn't exactly innocent when it comes to sex and that she has had a somewhat wild sex life before she started dating her current guy. But she wants him to think she is innocent. Heck the guy could know about her past but just let's the girl think he doesn't. Same for the other story.

There would be plenty of set up in the story about the weird stuff that you seem so against. And besides even if there wasn't there have been plenty of stories that seem like they're set in the normal and real world that have pulled off weird and strange twists.

There are a lot more that try it and fail than that pull it off successfully.

I'm not against the weird stuff in and of itself.

The "weird stuff" is extreme and experimental.

My issue is with why would the character in question willingly resort to such extreme measures, jumping over more conventional and less risky alternatives in the process.

If she were tricked into it, becoming an unwilling and/or unknowing experimental subject, that would be different.

That idea might make this easier for people to accept. Might. What do you think?

It would. It could also work if she went for traditional cosmetic surgery and got experimented on against her will.

People can do desperate things when in love or afraid.

They can. However, that does not mean jumping over more conventional means of achieving their goals where available.

Maybe the person turns to those methods because they felt that they would lose their loved one if they found out about the sex history

The problem with this rational is that conventional cosmetic surgery would meet this end every bit as well as the proposed experimental treatment. Perhaps if she tried conventional surgery first but wasn't happy with the result.

Cosmetic / reconstructive surgery is not unregulated. There is a small pile of consent and risk acknowledgment/wavier forms you have to sign for even conventional procedures, even more for procedures that are considered experimental.

The only plausible scenario where this could happen in a modern western nation is if she was part of an experimental group to evaluate the effectiveness and safety of the procedure. But to be above board with that there is a lot of paper work and regulation and they wouldn't get away with calling it risk free.
