We need more stories of the like of cmsix. Interacting with aliens and being sent to an alternate time to jump start the natives.

Adventures of Calvin Michael Johnson is a story along those lines, although he doesn't go to prehistoric times he does interact with aliens and have a mission to jumpstart the technology and colonization of space.
