Normal story trope dealing with gaining great power is MC uses that power to gain vast wealth, gather 1 or more sexual partners, and get embroiled in massive conflicts.
So how about this instead?: MC already has multiple sexual partners and very wealthy as well. Constantly involved in one conflict after another (causes being his sex life, his wealth, corporate/government interference, etc). Then something happens to give him vast personal power causing him to evaluate his life to best use it....
...And he decides the best way to use his newfound power was to simplify his life. Get rid of the conflicts, the multiple sex partners, and even his vast wealth in such a way that he can virtually withdraw from society... thus freeing him up to explore the power.
Thus: With great power comes a simpler life.
