I love do over stories. I have noticed just about all of them have the MC going back to the 70's or 80's to their teenage years. I would love to see a story where an older MC goes back further to relive being drafted or volunteering for WW2 or maybe Vietnam. Where the MC is able to fix battlefield mistakes that they made the first time through and maybey becoming a hero and then getting out of the service and becoming rich and famous or just rich.

I'm suffering a little bit from CRS, but there is a story I remember reading where the MC kept falling into new bodies, and one arrived in Hawaii before the Japanese attack on Pearl Harbor. I remember he grabbed hold of a powerful gun, set it on a hilltop, and started sniping the Japanese fighters as they pushed to Pearl Harbor. He even burned the skin off his hands from the overheating machine gun because he didn't want to stop shooting.
I'll probably remember the story as soon as I send this... probably not.
