A guy falls in love with a girl who is partially paralyzed. They go off to college together; she help him on the farm. Her mother is fighting the relationship all the time. His older brother died, and he dropped out of college to work the farm. The paralyzed woman takes her best friend to the hospital in a blizzard in a tractor so she can deliver her baby.
