Parents with teenage kids often do not know and often would just as soon not learn about any sexual adventures of their offspring.
That was one of the things discussed in the story I'm looking for, though i cannot remember either the name of the story or the name of the author.
I suspect it was a COA story, probably a long one, and the kids in the story used a particular phrase in describing how their parents simply don't ask if they don't want to hear the answer.
The phrase might have been something like "willful ignorance" - though a search using that phrase did not yield an obvious match.
Anybody remember the story or the phrase? I suspect the story was probably one with many teen characters.
