Farming and Oil

kylemore 🚫

Six siblings where orphaned when we subsequently learn the uncle and Sheriff conspired to kill their parents by running them off the road. The reason for this was that oil had been found on the farm and the uncle wanted the father to sell the farm and give him some of the proceeds. The father would not do this. The m/c is the eldest son who has the same name as his grandfather who is in a care home with his wife who is suffering from dementia and subsequently dies and the grandfather leaves the home and comes back to live on the farm. The m/c's eldest sister starts a relationship with the boy on the next door farm and his sister chases very hard and catches the m/c. Two is the other siblings are in a relationship.

Any help to find this story would be much appreciated.

That brought another oil story to mind: 'The Old Man and the Oil Men' by DotB/K Pelle. Grandfather can't stop oil company from drilling on their land, but comes up with a series of setups to slow down/discourage them from doing so.

I pulled it from K Pelle's website.
