Man finds out wife is cheating .Confronts other man ,and forces him to break it off with his wife. Husband does not tell wife for years .When it comes out marriage is destroyed

Until the last sentence I thought it could be Visiting Richard Gronier by ohio. But in that story the marriage survives.
Also it's one of the author's stories that isn't on here.

That also sounds rather like Secrets Held In by Sir Semega although the ending is left open.
