It has been years since I read it so please forgive any mistaken details. A young warrior was on a ship with his aunt(?) when it was attacked. As a student of a warrior school he used a sword and sword breaker to fight the enemy. After losing he is recruited. It gets hazy after that. Thanks for any help.
