Another lost one (at least for me:
Young man, son of abusive minister in a small town in (Ohio? Indiana?) discovers he has the power to heal. He leaves town and travels west, hooking up with a couple of indian tribes along the way. In California he heals a bunch of people following a bad traffic accident and the public discovers his existence. He winds up hiding out, and then traveling back to his hometown where he winds up in a sexual encounter with the first girl he healed. He's talking to the masses when a cop shoots him from behind. At the end, it turns out the girl he slept with is pregnant with his child (and how I'd love to see a sequel to this one).
