There was a story, whose name I can't remember, that I'd like to read again. It involves a man taking a schoolgirl to a motel and knocking her up before her parents send her back to Japan. I can remember only one line from the story where the man asks the girl "Are you the one with the oven?" and she replies "Are you the one with the batter?"
Was the pregnancy deliberately arranged with parental approval?
It's been a while since I read the story below, but part of the back story is a Japanese American girl got pregnant in the hope her parents would let her marry her American boyfriend, but they shipped her to Japan. This comes out later when her son goes to the USA. A puzzle box is involved in the story. - This is the only story I know of where a girl gets pregnant and is then shipped to Japan.

I am sorry I remember the story you are thinking about but I also am not remembering the name or author. The girl is a japanese/american schoolgirl and her parents want to send her home to japan (i cant remember but i think there might be an arranged marriage involved) so she gets online with the purpose of meeting a guy to impregnate her. Which will cause her father to drop the idea of sending her back. am I right?

ahh... that WOULD explain it. honestly i could have sworn the author was in the T's and had several stories but honestly thats just my best guess at putting together the fragments of my screwed up memory lol
