There's a story where MC time travels to California before gold rush to known gold deposits to get funding, then he time travels to buy cars, which he stores safely in a barn(s) and gets them out in modern time line to restore and sell.. and of cause he gets (rogue?) alphabet soup after him..
Don't recognise anything from cmsix in there, and offhand I can't remember any stories where he has control over his time travelling. Actually, he does not time travel at all, he gets sent to parallel worlds where they are still in the stone age.
No specific content link but the format of jumping back and forth through time almost sounds like something by Old Man with a Pen.
