idk if it was on this site or some other. all i remember is that it was a do over kinda story setting circa 1970 into childhood self. protagonist was boxing and motivating girls to box. he used his future knowledege to hoard silver. i think there was also something about him being some kind of hero during a terrorist attack or something, as well as helping out the military.

Lazlo Zalezac's Emend by Eclipse contains the silver hoarding element, but no female boxing I don't think.
There may have been an attempt to stop a terrorist attack, too, but I'm not sure I'm remembering the same story. If I am, it was something like a letter intended to warn the military about the Iran hostage crisis of 1979-1981.
The silver gambit is a very common tool in do-over stories. So it won't be a very effective winnowing device.
