MC feels invisible

I read a story within the last year, probably on this site. The main character feels invisible to his peers. He find out he wasn't.

He had a birthday party one of his friend's mother "helped" and deliberately told everyone the wrong date.

I believe he was in high school

His friends didn't know how to help so they just kept an eye on him when he drifted into himself.

I thought I remembered a lot more but not at this moment. Do cardiac drugs affect memory and thinking? I don't feel as sharp as I used to.

Simple answer is yes as well as just the cardiac problems or event can cause problems in memory or thinking.

I agree, it's stupid. That didn't stop something very similar happening in real life.

The article is focused on what the DA did in using his daughter as bait, not the case against the suspect. You'd have to dig for news on the trial if there is any.

Maybe like in 80+% of cases the suspect too a plea deal.
