I read this in the last few years. Brilliant kid makes friends with another kid (possibly after being in conflict). Smart kid turns into very successful and wealthy man but is socially inept. Enters into a semi-permanent arrangement with hooker or escort for sexual relief. School friend mentioned above acts as manager/interface for smart guy. He buy (triangular?) parcel of property for getaway and they sit around on lawn chairs relaxing.
