Ka Hmnd (as he goes on SOL) has apparently 6 stories with 'mage' in the title (totaling about 40k words, so a little light for a novel) so if they're all related (one is 'Mage Academy') maybe?
But he's still in the process of posting material here, I believe. Possibly editing as he goes.

Strictly dead tree.
It's listed as Out-Of-Print with limited availability and no current offers as a used book. About 6 months ago there was a single used copy listed but it was fairly high priced. His other book on Amazon is still available as Kindle or paperback.
