I have just finished reading "The Legend of Eli Crow" by JRyter, again (and again). I am sure I read a similar story but witha very different ending. In the one I am trying to find, near the end, the main protaganist is taken for a ride in a motor car by his son and it just about frightens the life out of him. It ends with an epilogue in fairly recent times in a museum being opened, dedicated to the life and times of the family. The curator is presented with some form of records of the family's deeds, much to the curator's delight.
