I was reading a story a while back about a guy who grew up friends with a lesbian cop that became is 2nd wife along with a girl he knew thru her brother I think. they eventually had kids and even started looking after kids in the neighborhood,1 of them is sick and dies.sorry to say I lost it and the name of the writer.

Sadly, the story is unfinished. I spoke with the author directly about a year ago and he said he has been diagnosed with early onset dementia and can no longer write. He has been looking for an Aussie writer to finish his stories, but I would assume he's had no luck yet.
I didn't know he was looking. Just sent him an email to open the piece talks.
