I might be Puzzle Box Genie, looks

The genie from Puzzle Box Genie was in a puzzle box (like from the Hellraiser movies), not a bottle.

So similar to the old Puzzles and Solutions. (Don't recall the writer. Gave up on that one early when it was being posted, as it went off the rails quick.)

Maybe, I haven't read that one, I have read most of Puzzle Box Genie. Puzzle Box Genie didn't spend a lot of time on the solution to the puzzle box.

It was from '02 or so, iirc
MC solved it pretty quick then too.

Wasn't sure on the content, I had it in my library until I saw it had been removed so couldn't verify

This was definitely in a bottle, and as soon as he picked it up and found the jin in it he became a nicer person and his mom even stopped hooking.

They also moved to a better neighborhood in a different town

I found it, if anyone's interested it is "Chameleon" by Aubie56. Damn good read.

When you have the link on the screen [in the form soandso@place], highlight the link and right click on it. Choose 'Copy Link Location' to copy the link to your clipboard. Then go to wherever you want to paste the link, place your cursor where you want the link to appear, right click again, and select 'Paste'. Your link should appear, ready to be clicked on.

You don't have to highlight the link, just right-click on it and you can choose 'copy link location'. Same for the address bar although that differs per browser, some auto-select on right click, others you have to select yourself.

Thanks all, only problem is I don't have a computer🙁 so everything I do is on my trustee phone. It does what it has to, just something's are beyond it's capabilities. I'm sure you all know how that is, kinda sux really, but that's what happens when ssdi only gives me enough to pay rent and some food

It's pretty simple.

First way: copy/paste the URL into the text entry area when posting, like such - https://storiesonline.net/s/66905/life-with-alpha

Second way: use the 'link' button, like such - edit: that doesn't work, you need to use the third method

Third way: use the 'link' button, but modify it, like such - see? (enter the label you want between the open and close tags.)

You could also, if you know how, actually just enter the information directly. So you'd have

It is a very good read, right on par for Aubie56.

Another dynamite story is 'Prototype Ten' by Shakes Peer2B if you haven't read it you may want to give it a try. Damn good story.
